It’s important to note that due to natural genetic variance cultivars will show different expressions most commonly affecting color and density (when grown from seed). Some attributes will have less variation and that is typically the aroma and overall structure of the flower. We do our best to list the common traits for each cultivar but this overview is not a guarantee that these exact expressions will be present in flower you purchase.

A Hazy Heritage

The story goes that the terpene-rich Haze half of Hawaiian Haze was birthed upon the lush, fertile volcanic islands of Hawaii. Well, that’s the story, anyway. The true origins are definitely hazier than that fantasy.  Others believe the Haze strain’s true lineage surfaced in the 60’s California, where it exploded in popularity.

The name Hawaiian Haze points to its fruity and tropical essence more than its origin.

Oregon CBD, a CBD breeder from Oregon created the Hawaiian Haze Hemp Flower cultivar by crossing the Haze cultivar with a CBD dominant pheno from their breeding projects.

Light In Weight,  Heavy In CBD

Hawaiian Haze has a taller profile when growing, with added height from the strain’s long leaves and hairs. You’ll typically find hefty-sized buds with medium density…not too airy and not too dense like you would find with Bubba Kush Hemp flower.  The trichome layer is thicker than most hemp strains yet Hawaiian Haze is one of the lightest in weight.

It comes as no surprise that Hawaiian Haze hemp flower is extremely fruity, exotic, and full-bodied. After all, this is the “vacation strain” we’re talking about! With a unique terpene breakdown of beta-caryophyllene, humulene, and myrcene. Myrcene is found in mangos, definitely contributing to the tropical flavor.

The high terpene content presents superior phytocannabinoid content and high CBD that falls around 20%.

An Uplifting and Sociable Smoke

Hawaiian Haze is known as the “vacation strain”; but you’ll feel too motivated to just sway in a hammock after smoking. It’s known to help tackle tasks while simultaneously soothing your body and soul. You’ll stay active and productive during the day with calming muscle, joint, and inflammation for bedtime.

As a true Sativa, cerebral effects like positive mood and focused attention are the most obvious effects. Other cerebral effects are known to include clarity, optimism, motivation, and inspiration. Sharing terpenes with other mentally therapeutic strains has been said to help with anxiety, depression, and lethargy. This makes for a preferred social smoke to share with others.

Bottom Line

If you’re looking for a CBD cultivar that typically has a strong and sweet aroma with effects that feel coherent and sociable, Hawaiian Haze is a match made in heaven.
