CBD Isolate: High Purity

$85.00 – $450.00

CBD Isolate is a highly purified powder containing only the isolated CBD molecule. Things removed include fats, lipids, waxes, oil, chlorophyll, and other plant material. We sell pharma-grade CBD isolate, which offers 99% purity, but this listing is for our standard-grade option, which is still in the high 90’s but averages 96-98%

We recommend combining CBD Isolate with fuller-spectrum inputs such as CBD Distillate or Live Resin for a product that will have more therapeutic potential. Research shows that CBD is more effective when it contains more of the plant’s beneficial compounds. By using CBD Isolate in conjunction with CBD Distillate or Live Resin, the total CBD contained in the final product can be boosted while still ensuring the product is effective and high quality. CBD isolate on its own has a bell curve for dosing and is less effective.

CBD Isolate is ideal for use in tinctures, oils, topicals, capsules, soft gels, sublingual sprays, creams, edibles, gels, shampoo, lotion, cosmetics, soaps, beverages, and vape pens. The important consideration is the solubility of the powder in your final product. We also offer water-soluble CBD Isolate. Please contact us if you have questions about formulations and ordering.

Highly refined CBD concentrate

CBD Isolate is the most refined CBD concentrate option you can find, making it ideal for product formulations where a high potency is desired. The CBD Isolate we offer is extracted in a highly controlled environment and processed to guarantee high purity.

CBD ISOLATE USES

  • CBD isolate is a great option for highly regulated markets where there is consumer demand for alternative medicine and plant-based solutions but where THC is not allowed legally. Since it is the purest form of CBD, it contains the least amount of THC possible
  • CBD Isolate is also ideal for those with THC intolerance. Some people cannot or choose not to consume THC, making CBD Isolate the best choice for their needs since it contains the least amount of THC. CBD Isolate is nearly THC-free except in trace amounts that are undetectable by most testing equipment
  • We recommend using it to boost CBD levels in products that are also formulated with CBD Distillate or Live Resin rather than formulating with it on its own. This is because studies show a fuller plant spectrum to be more therapeutically beneficial

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT CBD ISOLATE

Can I use CBD Isolate in any product?

Depending on the desired final product texture and other how the Isolate will be integrated into the product. it may or may not be the best input. CBD Isolate would not homogenize with water for example and water-soluble CBD would be needed (which we sell, contact us for details).

Is CBD Isolate THC Free?

CBD Isolate is considered THC-free due to its purity but there may still be non-detectable trace amounts of THC. This is the case for all CBD Isolate available for sale.

How is CBD Isolate Made?

Step 1: Extraction

All concentrates begin with the process of extraction and this includes CBD Isolate. There are different hydrocarbon solvents including butane, propane, and ethanol. Ethanol is the most commonly used solvent for the production of CBD Isolate as it has one of the highest throughputs.

Step 2: Winterization

Winterization is the process of removing the fats, waxes, and chlorophyll from the initial extract. If these compounds weren’t removed, it would lower the percentage and purity of the CBD Isolate.

To achieve winterization the extract is cooled down to sub-zero temperatures with a solvent. By maintaining the extract in the chilled environment for a period of time, the lipids (fats and waxes) coagulate and separate from the crude oil – which is known as ‘miscella’.

Step 3: Filtration

Once winterization has been completed, the fats and waxes that coagulated from the miscella are removed. A filter press and vacuum pump pull the unfiltered miscella mixture through a series of filter plates to separate the fats, waxes, and other compounds into one vessel while the now-filtered miscella is in another.

Step 4: Decarboxylation

In order to achieve the highest CBD content, decarboxylation must be performed. The process of decarboxylation is to convert carboxylic acid and CO2 from cannabinoids present in the cannabis extract which means CBDa is converted into CBD, its neutral form. Converting the acidic cannabinoid CBDa to its neutral form of CBD ensures the highest concentration of CBD.

Step 5: Distillation

Now that our extract has been winterized, filtered, and decarboxylated, we can perform distillation. Both short path and wiped film distillation equipment can be used for this step. With the wiped film method, the extract is loaded under a vacuum into a tank where it passes by a heated plate.

As the oil is heated it enters a secondary chamber with spinning wipers that create a thin film around the heated, jacketed chamber. After this the heated liquid enters a long condensing coil where it is cooled with fluid and recondenses the vapors back to liquid form.

In the final step of this process the CBD oil which is referred to as the ‘main body’ is collected separately from the terpenes, volatiles and higher boiling point cannabinoids which are known as ‘heads’ and ‘tails’.

Step 6: Crystallization

In this final step, manufacturers change the structure of the CBD Isolate is to subject it to a crystallization process. This process results in a final product that is still the purest form of CBD but with a crystalline structure.

This crystallization process begins by placing the CBD oil into a large reactionary vessel, with a stirring mechanism attached. The mixture is heated while constantly stirred. Slowly after some time, the temperature is lowered and the rate of stirring is slowed down.

Once the mixture has cooled and nucleation starts to occur which is the initial stage of crystallization, the stirring rate is drastically increased, which causes the crystals to separate from the solution. After this, the crystals are rinsed with pentane or other chemical solvents, to remove any remaining unwanted impurities.

CBD isolate powder is popular for various reasons but most commonly because it is best for anyone who wants to experience the benefits of cannabidiol without worrying about consuming THC or potentially failing a drug test. That being said we do highly recommend a full spectrum CBD product containing CBD Live Resin over a CBD Isolate only product if you can as it will be more therapeutically beneficial since it includes a wider range of plant compounds.

CBD Live Resin can be purchased in bulk from us and we also have it available in finished live resin products ready to use.

Other people enjoy CBD isolate for its lack of flavor and smell. Full or broad-spectrum hemp products tend to have quite a distinct plant-like smell and flavor, which not all consumers enjoy. Thus, CBD powders are a wonderful option to easily incorporate into various products without affecting the product’s overall taste.

In general, the versatility of CBD is a huge appeal of the product, as well. It can be used in many applications, including making your own CBD capsules or tinctures, adding it to foods or beverages, or even incorporating it into your favorite skincare or topical.

Learn More About CBD Isolate

What can you do with CBD isolate?

You can do a lot of different things with CBD isolates, including making CBD oils, edibles, topicals, and more.

  • It’s easy to make your own CBD oil or tincture by dissolving your CBD powder into a carrier oil and then mixing it together. Carrier oils can vary, but popular choices tend to be hemp seed oil or MCT oil.
  • Making edibles with CBD isolate is easy, too. You can add your isolate to various foods or drinks, including options like smoothies, baked goods, and even gummy recipes. Because it doesn’t have any flavor, it doesn’t affect the taste of the food you add it to!
  • Many people choose to make CBD topicals with their isolate by first mixing the isolate with a carrier oil and then adding that to their go-to lotion or skincare. Along the same line, you could take your homemade CBD oil and choose to add it to a soft gel capsule and consume your dose of CBD that way, as well!

How does CBD isolate differ from full-spectrum CBD?

CBD isolate is one of the most pure forms of CBD on the market, coming in at around 99% pure CBD. During creation, all other cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids, and plant materials are removed, leaving behind only cannabidiol molecules. However, this is not the case with full-spectrum CBD.

In full-spectrum CBD, there is not only CBD but also minor cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids, and legal traces of THC as well. The presence of all of these compounds is said to create a phenomenon in the cannabis world called the entourage effect. The entourage effect states that cannabis products work optimally synergistically when one compound is isolated.

Not everyone wants to consume THC, though, making CBD isolate a better choice for those individuals, as well as anyone wanting to experience CBD’s effects unadulterated. The powder tends to be a bit more versatile than your typical full-spectrum extract, as well.

But, if you have a strong tolerance and chronic complications, full-spectrum products may be a bit better, as they’re known for producing more widespread results.

Does CBD isolate show up on a drug test?

No, CBD isolate does not show up on a drug test, making it one of the most appealing factors for consumers. It is made specifically to not contain any other cannabinoids besides CBD, especially THC. These products are always going to be THC-free (unless otherwise stated), so there are no worries about you failing a drug test after consumption.

For added reassurance, you can always view a product’s third-party lab test results before buying to ensure that the THC levels are at zero. A COA will have THC levels clearly marked on the reports so you can see firsthand whether or not there is any present.

How is CBD isolate most commonly used?

People use CBD isolate in many different ways, but one of the most common is making DIY CBD products like tinctures, topicals, or edibles. Many consumers prefer to craft their products using CBD isolate powder, as you can control exactly how much CBD is inside, as well as the presence of other ingredients.

The product is also easy to use, making it a good option for beginner consumers who may not have much experience with cannabinoids just yet.

What is the minimum age to buy CBD isolate online?

The minimum age to buy CBD isolate online, like any CBD product in the US, is 18 years old. However, it’s important to note that this age requirement may change based on the country, state, or region’s regulations that you’re in, and you may have to be at least 21 years old in some places.

It’s important to research and understand your local laws and regulations regarding CBD products. Reputable CBD retailers will have age verification measures in place to ensure compliance with the law, so make sure you’re prepared with an ID if you’re buying in person.
